Zoomer slop games: the Minecraft generation
Zoomer slop is the Gen Z tier: the games that filled YouTube, school Chromebooks and phone screens in the 2010s. Minecraft, Roblox and Fortnite at the center, with Five Nights at Freddy’s lore videos, Geometry Dash and Among Us rounds around them.
It is the first slop tier that is as much about watching as playing: many of these games were discovered through YouTubers and streamers before anyone bought them.
Slop is what the internet calls content people consume on autopilot, and the “xxxSLOP” meme pins that label on a generation’s favorite games: a wall of covers, the tier name in huge letters, and a wojak pointing at it. It is affectionate; most games on these lists are genuine classics.
